I had the pleasure of my first encounter with a NJ black bear while hiking this week.  Even though I grew up in UpState NY, near the Adirondack Mountains, I have never actually seen a bear in the wild. I asked the bear what he was thinking when he saw me and my dog and he replied that he was, “scared.”

This was actually pretty obvious from his bear behavior since he turned around and went back the way he came. Pretty neat!  My dog felt that we should also go back the way came which was apparent by her trying to take off running. Luckily she was on a leash.

I also had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people Wednesday night at an animal communication class I was teaching at Body In Mind Massage in Morristown, NJ.  Two if the individuals at the course were affiliated with an organization that is working to save the black bears of NJ. If you would like to learn more about the peaceful nature of these bears and maybe even get involved in helping to prevent killing of the bears, have a look:

This is a really interesting study that shows evidence that cat’s are communicating with their people. As if we didn’t know that already:

As I mentioned above, I was teaching animal communication at a massage studio here in Morristown, NJ this week. I just love to see how fast the students in the course start talking with the animals of classmates (at a distance no less, via photograph). Not to mention, this course was only 1.5 hours. They were talking with the animals after I provided a guided meditation, oh, about 30 minutes into the class!  It’s just so obvious to me that everybody can do this!  It’s really no mystery but just takes some focus, dedication and practice.

If you are in the area or would like to travel to one of my classes, have a look at my site for more details. The next full length 8 hour course is scheduled for Saturday October 20th, here in Morristown, NJ:
