I love what I do.
The greatest reward that I receive from my work with animals is how I feel as a result of seeing positive effects in sometimes very serious situations.
As a fellow animal lover, I am sure you understand this. I gladly admit that I continued along this path of helping animals for several very selfish reasons.
Although the animal is benefiting from the session, I often recognize that I am usually in better place than when I started working on a mental, emotional and energetic level; and I am sure physically, as well.
A study that was recently published in the journal Cancer has found that some cancer survivors have shown significant positive physical changes in their cells via meditation (and yoga). Not to mention the long known benefits to the other various systems of the body. I have found that animal communication is akin to being in a meditative state (where alpha, theta and to some degree delta waves can all come into play). During communication or when I am providing any kind of massage or energy work for an animal, I feel very close to the state that I am in during meditation. This includes everything from my brain activity to my respiratory rate. Basically, I am functioning in a slower but more attuned and focused manner when I work with animals.
My work with animals is what rejuvenates and revitalizes me. I have to maintain a relatively healthy lifestyle in order to feel that I am able to do this work at a high quality level. Working to be as physically and emotionally healthy as possible is an important aspect of providing clear work with animals. Therefore, my passion for helping animals greatly benefits me and I believe, the people in my life.
What animals have taught me is that doing the thing that you love to do is often what will revitalize you. I feel that we are all given an interest in something that ultimately rejuvenates us and keeps is healthy. Even if you don’t do that thing full time, setting aside some time is vital. Most importantly if it is your true “love,”so to speak, it will benefit others in some way.
